Sunday is for Heart Songs
Reading with the Pastor
Hab. 3, John 11, and Psalm 95
1 O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord,
. Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,
. Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
This is actually the reading for Thursday this week but the Lord led me to Psalm 95 today. I am sitting in my chair near tears as I read the just the first 2 verses of the psalm. It’s Easter Sunday and my heart is full with the wonder at the evidence for faith in the resurrection of Christ.
“God demonstrated His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8)
He died for us.
He rose for us.
He is preparing a place for us.
He is interceding for us even now.
And He is coming back for us.
And the proof that all of that is true is that the tomb is empty.
He rose from the dead.
He conquered sin.
He conquered death.
He lives today.
And nothing can separate us from His love for us.
Nothing.
Read it with me again and let your heart soar with the psalmist words.
1 O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord,
. Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,
. Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
O come let us adore Him.
O come let us adore Him.
O come let us adore Him.
Christ, the Lord
Christmas isn’t the only time to let your voice rise in adoration.
