Mentor Groups are
forming now for the Fall of 2022
A MENTOR is someone who has been to where you want to go and knows some of the best routes to get there and the experience to help you find new routes.
Think of a mentor as an Indian scout. He knows the country and terrain, brings back advanced reports on what is up ahead, and leaves all the decisions to you. The mentor doesn’t control you; he helps you reach your objective.
A critical part of all our mentoring, is one-to-one discipleship, but there are three other mentoring groups for church leaders.
[In all these groups, the effort is made to deliver what is needed either free of charge or as close to free as we can get.]
Preachers in Training
(For men who have the gift of teaching but have not had the opportunity to pursue seminary or pastors who have but just want to hone their skills.)

Making Disciples
(For Senior Pastors and Discipleship Pastors who want to expand their evangelistic footprint in the community )
This group is to help pastors begin the process of thinking through how they can expand the missional footprint of their church. It is a group designed for accountability and making real, qualitative improvement in both our theology and praxis.
This group meets three times a year and is limited to 10 men. One meeting is a two day working retreat. The other two are one day 4-6 hour discussions and goal setting. To apply, contact Chosen-Rebel@hotmail.com.
Cost: The group buys my lunch and pays their own way for the retreat!
R&D (Relational and Directional) GROUP
On “Intensely Local Ministry”
Meets three times per year. A Relational and Directional Group [R&D Group] is made up of no more than 10-12 pastors, who commit to meet three times per year including once for an extended two day time. Once for a 6 hour teaching, training, discussion session together. And once for a day just prior to the South East District Conference of the Evangelical Free Church. The exact schedule for each group will be determined by the lead mentor.
The idea is FEWER MEETINGS WITH GREATER DEPTH! An opportunity to take the best of the relational dynamics of a ministerial and blend it with directional mentoring focused on group members specific ministry situations.
Marty’s R&D group focuses on the concept of INTENSELY LOCAL MINISTRY, getting the gospel out of the four walls and programs of the church and into the hands of the congregation in specific ministries of love, service, care and sacrifice for others, coupled with a compelling and sensitive commitment to evangelism.
