I’m at a retreat for Standing Stone Shepherds with about 30 of us, I think. We drove eight hours to tuck ourselves into the beauty of these Tennessee hills south of Nashville and arrived around 4:30 in the afternoon. We ate, we sang, we prayed, we heard from our president and his wife and we laughed. It was sweet. One of the songs we sang was one I have heard and sung before but I heard a still small voice whisper to me this evening.
The song was written by Kathryn Scott. (CCLI #2650364). It expresses what I long for in my heart and what I long for every believer in Christ to long for with all their heart. Let’s pray for this together. Let’s pray that all of us would fall down on our knees and cry out to God our desperation for Him.
