The Choice that Means Everything

It looks simple on the surface.

Someone holds out two pills. Chose the one on the right and you live. Chose the one on the left and you die.

It looks simple.

But it’s not.

What do you need to know to chose the pill on the right?

You need to know right or left from whose perspective.

In other words, you need revelation.

But only when you recognize that your perspective might be wrong can you look for the revelation you need. But you also need to give up your own perspective. You need to believe the revelation given to you about which perspective is right. And you need to respond to the revelation.

Where there is no prophecy, the people cast off restraint,
but happy are those who keep the law.      (Proverbs 29:18, NRSV)

Happiness comes from a life lived
under the revelation of God.

Get that perspective.
Live that perspective.
