Reading in First John this evening. Staggered by the wonder of what the apostle John writes in the beginning of the third chapter. Read it. Read it again out loud. Read it again slowly. Let the wonder of it wash over you. The greatest being in the universe has declared us His children! What manner of love is this?
Stunning.
Staggering.
Wonderful.
Magnificent.
Overwhelming
And all of it, true.
We are loved by God!
We are called children of God.
And so we are?
And this is connected to why the world does not know us, it doesn’t understand us, because it doesn’t know Him as we are privileged to know Him.
