He has a name above every name.
One day, perhaps one day soon,
“Every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
(Philippians 2:10-11)
The good news of the gospel is the sound of God pleading for us to be reconciled to Him. It is God’s love note to the world that though we have
- trashed His creation,
- brutalized one another,
- dispised His will and ways,
He will nevertheless, forgive us and restore us, renew us and provide for us, adopt us and dwell with us and give us as a free gift, eternal life in a restored and beautiful Kingdom governed perfectly by Him.
But the offer is a limited time offer. Today, is the acceptable day of salvation (2 Cor. 6:2). When He appears again, the offer will be over.
Reck With This if Ye Will
Reck with this if ye will;
He will not seek to persuade you then.
He will come to judge ye then.
The reckoning comes.
Flee to him now,
For joy with him then.
