Reading with the Pastor
Matthew 24, Psalm 24, and Proverbs 24
The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.
—Henry Miller
Give attention, close attention, to the word of God and the works of His creation. They will each become immeasurably mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent. And then, something else will become indescribably real and beautiful to your spirit—Jesus is, was and always will be magnificent.
The late American scholar of world mythology, Joseph Campbell (1904 – 1987) was wont to say “awe before the mystery of being”.
Good post, Rebel.
