Sunday Afternoon Musings
Ephesians 3:20–21 (ESV)
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Most Christians live so far below the “spiritual poverty level” because they don’t know:
-
The far more …
-
The abounding …
-
The more than we can ask or think …
-
The “according to the power” of the Holy Spirit working in us …
nature of our great God’s ability and power to work through us, and in us, and for His glory in the Church through Christ Jesus in every generation since and every generation to come.
How do you begin to trust a God that can do such marvels?
Four Steps
- Find your Bible.
- Put your phone and other electronic devices down.
- Pray.
- Read and meditate on the word of God.
Do it today. And every day after today.
“So faith comes from hearing,
and hearing by the word of Christ.”
