The Ugly Side of Christian Consumerism

FlipSide_ResurgenceTemplate2_v2I have already posted for the day but this link is important.

Older pastors with lots of experience are tempted in many ways, (pride, arrogance, sense of entitlement, laziness to name a few) but this post is especially for young pastors as well.

The going gets tough, people don’t appreciate you the way you think they should, the church plant ideal is harder to realize than you thought, sheep bite, and the work is unrelenting. I’ve seen too many men pull up stakes and leave their churches or plants prematurely and move on to “greener pastures.”

This article from the Resurgence is a great reminder that the church is a family not a business or a stepping stone to something else.
