A Call to Worship — A Mighty Rock is our God.
“Our Mighty Rock, our Refuge, our LORD,
has watched us as we slept
and has prepared good works for us to walk in this day.
He Himself is our peace and He calls us to be peacemakers. So let us rise and walk His peace
into the dark places of life
–the places that need hope,
–the places that need faith,
–the places that need the love of Christ,
–let us walk into those spaces
and worship Him with lives of service,
so saturated with His love
that those we serve
sense His presence in our words,
and praise Him for our lives.”Cf. Psalm 62:6-7; Ephesians 2:10, 14
A Mid-Day Prayer for Revival
1 “If you return, O Israel,” declares the LORD,
. “Then you should return to Me.
. And if you will put away your detested things from My presence,
. And will not waver,
2 And you will swear, ‘As the LORD lives,’
. In truth, in justice and in righteousness;
. Then the nations will bless themselves in Him,
. And in Him they will glory.”
3 For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem,
. “Break up your fallow ground,
. And do not sow among thorns.
4 “Circumcise yourselves to the LORD
. And remove the foreskins of your heart,
. Men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem,
. Or else My wrath will go forth like fire
. And burn with none to quench it,
. Because of the evil of your deeds.”“Lord, Israel did not heed the call 2,600 years ago and now You are calling Your church to put away detestable practices and declare our allegiance to You as our sovereign and only Lord, just as You did for them.
You are calling us to put away anything that stands in the way of obeying You. You are calling us to love truth, and justice, and righteousness. You are calling us to swear by Your name that we will live lives that are pictures to the world of an earnest pursuit of God, and His Kingdom and His righteousness. O God, don’t let us repeat Israel’s mistake. Soften our hearts and make us pliable to Your will. Revive us O God. Make us holy. In Christ’s name. Amen.

A Benediction to Sanctify the Night
“Praise is due to Our God;
For He has heard our cries through the day,
and has blessed us by drawing us near.
So may you sleep in peace,
For He is our peace.
And let us rise in the morning
satisfied with His goodness
because He cares for us.”Cf. Psalm 65:1-4; Ephesians 2:14; 1 Peter 5:7
