Weekend Musings on Missional Living

Nothing like mowing the lawn under a hot South Carolina sun to remind you that you are getting old. But it’s done.

Age wraps its tentacles one day tighter around my dust and reminds me that “today is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it”, I don’t know how many more there will be. None of us do.

Let me use this day for joy.

“Lord, I am a collection of needs this morning. Give me grace to be a blessing to those I connect with this day. Would you give me wisdom in each interaction. Let me season my speech with salt so I may know how to respond to each person. Give me boldness to speak up for you. Help me find “the man of peace” in the my neighborhood. Help me honor you in all I do.

Give me the joy of your presence throughout the day. Don’t let me forget that I walk with you. Protect my family while they are away from me. Give them focus and resolve to accomplish the tasks before them. Remind them of Yourself and give them joy in their day. For the spread of Your name and by the power of Christ’ shed blood I ask this. Amen.”

This video is worth your time, especially if you are interested in revitalizing your Small group ministry.
