Kids are back in school. School buses are cruising our roads. Footballs are flying through the air and the weather man says there will be no 90-degree days for the next 7 days. Fall is just around the corner and with it many new opportunities to tell our neighbors about the wonder of Jesus.
As we begin the Fall, I want to challenge all of us to be like the Apostle Paul.
“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
—1 Cor. 2:1-2
-
Let’s speak more about Christ and less about politics.
-
Let’s speak more about Jesus and less about pop culture.
-
Let’s speak more about the cross and less about ourselves.
-
Let’s be Jesus-people in every waking moment.
-
Let’s bless our neighbors and families by living passionately for and like Jesus.
It’s one thing to proclaim the Gospel and quote Bible verses. It’s another thing to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to be a vessel of His love in our day to day lives. To actually live our faith and allow ourselves to be transformed by Jesus instead of staying conformed to the world and its confusion and deception. May God bless you:-)
