“For nothing will be impossible for God.”
—Gabriel to Mary
in Luke 1:37 (ESV)
Literally, “because not it be impossible with God every word” or “because no word of God is impossible.”
Nothing God says is impossible. Think about that. If God says it, it’s possible.
Makes you want to search out every promise of God in his word and allow it to wash over your spirit as it thrills your heart and emboldens your faith.
People of God, your God is trustworthy. This Christmas, remember that your God keeps His promises. Nothing He says is impossible. Everything He promises will come to pass.
And all who trust in Him will never be disappointed in Him.

Thank you for this reminder. I’ve been thinking about the faith of Billy Graham and how God has powerfully used him for over 60 years to touch the lives of countless people all over the earth, including me. I asked myself, “How?” When I listen to his messages there is a common theme and that is faith. He says we won’t always understand everything and we can’t reason our way to God; we must take Jesus Christ by faith. When we do this, we find ourselves with the same kind of God-confidence Billy Graham has: A belief that God is able to do anything He says He will do. I don’t want self-confidence. I want God-confidence!
