How is the Book Doing?

A number of people have been writing me or questioning me when they see me about the book and its sales figures. First, I want to say thanks for your interest and continue to ask for your prayers that God would use the book for his glory. Second, the honest answer is I don’t know yet.

I know that on the Amazon Rankings of books, it has gone up and down and up and down for its first two weeks. It started out (first time I checked) somewhere around 454,000 in paperback and 49,000 on Kindle. Since then it has risen to has high as 20,000 in paperback and 11,000 on Kindle. These numbers go up and down every hour and obviously I can’t spend my time checking every hour (like watching a pot of water boil–a waste of time!).

The book is now available across the country in bookstores, at, LifeWay Christian Bookstores (paperback) and on, in Kindle and also in Nook formats at Barnes & Noble as well as paperback. the Nook version is going for $3.43. All the prices have been set by the publisher.

Today the publisher sent me business cards, bookmarks and posters for promotion, so those will be appearing shortly in various bookstores and interested outlets for books. So keep praying.

Pray that the approach of the book on how to think about elected leaders has a significant impact on readers not just in this election cycle but on many elections in the years to come. Pray that Christians would become wise in how they vote and who they vote for in local, state and federal elections. But most of all pray that God would be glorified in all things related to the book.

P.S.  If you have the book and are reading or have finished the book (it’s an easy read), go to or and write a review. It would be a great help.
