Thursday is for Discipleship
Mark 13:32-37 (ESV)
“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning—lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”
Don’t waste the only life you have. Live wide awake for the One who ever lives and reigns and is coming again for all who love his appearing. (2 Tim. 4:1-2)
Marty! Look at all the “stay awake”s!
I was driving the other day in the US, and read a sign I can’t stop thinking about: Stay Awake. Stay Alert. Stay Alive.
Waking up to God here, being alert, attentive, to His overwhelming grace in Christ, in common things, this is the way to really live.
Yes! Exactly what you wrote here — this is how we need to live in time: wake up to the presence of God here — that stirs us to obedience and worship and love and following after Christ.
Thank you for the ways you minister to me…
All’s grace,
Ann

Ann,
Isn’t it true? There is no other way to live. God inhabits our days and we need only to look, acknowledge and joy in him.
Loved your book and a week doesn’t go by where I am not recommending your blog to someone. God’s best to you and the family. Still looking forward to meeting your husband one of these days.
All truly is grace,
marty
