  1. I think John Ortberg had a point when he says that if we are measured by our devotional lives then the Pharisees have one. In other words our Christian lives should not be measured based on journaling, devos, time in prayer, but what those activities lead us to do for Christ. We can pray all we want, but we also need to live out the Kingdom of God.

  2. That you can disciple yourself. Growing in spiritual disciplines can (sometimes) be individual work, but discipleship ALWAYS happens in intimate relationships with other believers.
