Monday’s Discussion
How do we account for the fact that millions of people in America say that they believe the Bible,
- believe in Jesus,
- believe that Jesus is God,
- believe that the gospel is true,
- believe that Jesus was telling the truth when he said that he was “the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to Father” except through Jesus,
and yet, they never tell anyone about Jesus?
- What is the explanation?
- How do we change it?
- Why aren’t we weeping in sack cloth and ashes over our lack of passion for the lost?
Luke 10:2
“Beseech the Lord of the harvest, to send forth workers into the harvest.”
Neil Anderson says is this way: “You behave what you believe.” I guess that saying you believe something (giving intellectual assent) is not the same as truly believing.

Try the following the next time you are with a group of people discussing belief: casually mention that you want to show them a demonstration of belief and as an aside, ask a member of the group to turn off the lights, He will go to the appropriate wall switch and throw it to turn off the lights.
You can now enter into your discussion of the relationship between belief and action. Or that belief is just another word for faith. Or if there is no action, there is no belief.
Therefore that answer to #1 is that millions of people in America do not believe the Bible, do not believe in Jesus, do not believe that Jesus is God, do not believe the Bible is true, and do not believe that Jesus was telling the truth about the “way the truth, and the life.”
#3 needs to be addressed before #2 can be answered. We need to be weeping in sack cloth and ashes over _OUR_ lack of passion for the lost!!!!! Then #2 will happen.

Ray, good to have you weigh in as one who has ministered on four continents.
John, I love your little experiment. I will use it. And I completely agree with your answer. We will see things change when we weep over our lack of brokenness and hard-hearted lack of compassion for those who have yet to bow the knee to Jesus.
Let’s join the 10:2 virus and pray each day for the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers — and break our hearts with the things that break the heart of God.

Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than
just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and all.
However think about if you added some great visuals or video clips to give your posts more,
“pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this website could certainly be one of the greatest in its niche.
Wonderful blog!
