I will attempt to post at midnight the day before for the day intended. If you are a subscriber (free) it will arrive in your email and be ready for use when you wake up.
A Morning Call to Worship
Read Psalm 5 and 65
May your day begin with praise.
May the morning sun cause your praise to rise with joy.
For you serve a God who delights in righteousness
and hears the prayers for refuge.
He hears and protects the godly.
Rejoice and live this day as an adventure of joy.
Psalm 65 When Joy Wants to Explode
An Afternoon Prayer of Confession
Read Psalm 35 and 95
I have not given my enemies over to You.
Instead, I have harbored resentment and anger in my soul
and left it there to fester, rot and stink.
Everyday Lord, when I sit and reflect on what I might have to confess,
You meet me in this place and hear my confession
and encourage me to entrust my enemies to You
and my sins to the covering of Your grace.
I do that now, O Lord,
Forgive me, and help me to sing a new song
a loud song,
a joyful noise to the rock of my salvation.
Save me from myself O Lord.
But save me most of all to You.
An Evening Benediction on the Day
Read Psalm 125 (See also Matthew 28:20)
As the mountains surround Jerusalem
so Your God has surrounded you this day.
Whatever sorrow, whatever joy sat upon you in this day
His protecting hand held you, unseen, He was there.
And He will be with you as you say down to rest.
Let peace, the shalom of God, settle over you.
Tomorrow is a new day. Sleep now.
