Wednesday is for Prayer
The Gospel Coalition Conference is a great encouragement and next week I will tell some of the stories related to it. Last night I had a brief conversation with Matt Chandler about theology, post-modernism, the gospel and current controversies. It reminded me again for the need for prayer for gospel leaders with real courage and stamina to fight the good fight of faith.
With that in mind:
- Pray that Christian leaders would be bold, humble and courageous in the face of attacks on the gospel, on Christ himself and the Church.
- Pray for the gospel’s advance around the world. That church planters would be raised up and that existing churches would have a renewed vision to reach their neighbors and the world.
- Pray for Matt Chandler, his battle with a brain tumor continues, pray that God might spare his life and use him mightily for the kingdom of God.
- Pray that the contacts I am making at the conference would result in new opportunities to train leaders to plant churches.
