Rereading Some Classics over the Weekend

Three books:

The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis
The Prodigal God by Tim Keller
The Prodigal Sister by John Piper

A past classic, a current classic and one that compliments it.

“…if we accept Heaven we shall not be able to retain even the smallest and most intimate souvenirs of Hell.”  (Lewis, 6)

Piper moved me to tears.  Lewis sobers me about the battle that rages for my soul.  And Keller reminds me that there is too much of the “elder brother” in our churches (and in me).

I recommend them all.
