November Prayers (9)
Calling the Heart to Worship
Read Psalm 9
Rise with a full heart, your God is with you.
Exalt in Him and sing your praise to the Most High God.
He is giving you another day to walk with Him,
to serve Him and reflect Him to the world.
Rise and give Him your eyes, let Him help you see.
Give Him your feet, let Him direct you.
Give Him your hands, let Him use you to help others.
Give Him your mouth, let Him use you to encourage.
Do it all for His glory.
Read Psalm 9:1-4
Read Psalm 39 and 69
Calling the Heart to Repentance
How many times O God, have I failed to control my tongue?
How many times have I spoken inappropriately
in the presence of unbelievers?
How many times have I failed to take full opportunity
to speak of You?
“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait?
my hope is in You.
Deliver me from all my transgressions.
Do not make me the scorn of the fool!” (vss. 7-8, ESV)
Forgive me, O God;
Hear my prayer, and give ear to my cry.
Amen.
cf. Psalm 39:1, 7-8, 12
Read Psalm 99 and 129
Calling the Heart to Rest (a benediction on the day)
The Lord reigns.
He sits enthroned surrounded by cherubim
The Lord is great in holiness.
The King loves justice.
He is holy and can be trusted.
So trust Him as you sleep
and rise to serve Him when you wake.
cf. Psalm 99:1-5
