December 10: Liturgies for Life

I will attempt to post at midnight the day before for the day intended. If you are a subscriber (free) it will arrive in your email and be ready for use when you wake up. Let’s start, live and finish each day pointing our hearts to Jesus.

A Morning Call to Worship

Read Psalm 70 and 100

May the morning sun greet you
and sing hope into your heart.
May joyful noise and gladness ascend from Your heart
and rise to the God of all comfort.
And may His presence guide you through the day.

An Afternoon Prayer of Confession

Read Psalm 10 and 40

Protect me God from being greedy for gain.
There is so much around me that screams to my soul
to consume my way to happiness.
Too often I have allowed my heart to lust for more
rather than be content with what I have.
Pride stalks my heart
I confess, too often I indulge my pride
and fail to remember You.
Forgive me and make me quicker to recognize my sin
that I might be a better servant to the people of Your Kingdom
and a greater glory to You.
Psalm 10   Yahweh is King Forever
Psalm 40 40 (U2)

An Evening Benediction on the Day

Read Psalm 130

The LORD is filled with lovingkindness
and His redemption is glorious and plentiful.
His peace is ours because of His gracious heart.
So let your heart rest in Him
and may your sleep be sweet till morning light.
