December 9: Liturgies for Life

I will attempt to post at midnight the day before for the day intended. If you are a subscriber (free) it will arrive in your email and be ready for use when you wake up. Let’s start, live and finish each day pointing our hearts to Jesus.

A Morning Call to Worship

Read Psalm 9 and 39

I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart
recounting His wondrous deeds in the morning,
exalting and singing praise to His name.
He shall never be dethroned and because of that
we shall never be moved.
Rejoice in these things.
Rejoice in the new morning Your God has given you.

Psalm 9     Make Your Grace My Clothing
Psalm 39   Tomorrow

An Afternoon Prayer of Confession

Read Psalm 69 and 99

I have spent time in the mire and
my own choices almost overwhelmed me.
I have often lost my foothold,
worse Lord, I lost hold of Your hand.
Forgive me for losing sight of You.
Help me to refocus here in the midday.
I don’t want to lose You ever.

Psalm 69  My Song on a Fearful Monday

An Evening Benediction on the Day

Read Psalm 129

The righteous Lord has heard your cries,
He has been your defender and protector.
Sleep. Lay your head down and rest.
For the One who has been with you will
greet you in the morning with new songs of joy.
