I was going to put this link on Facebook and let people find it there. But I decided to put a link to it here because I want a place to return to for myself. This conversation between two Christian scholars who have debated with and are friends with Bart Erhman, (the unbelieving New Testament scholar who is the darling of those who hate Christianity), is so good that it simply must be examined more than once. That does not mean that I agree with all things discussed or implied but that the entirety is worthy of significant thought.
Frank Turek and Mike Licona are the two engaged in the discussion on evidence for the resurrection, the cornerstone of our faith. I want to encourage all readers of the this blog to give it a listen, but if you have only a limited time, go to about the 25 minute mark and listen till about 31 minutes (6 min). It is worth your time. And remember, we believe what we believe because the evidence is compelling. There are reasons to believe, not just feelings or background or personal family history. Jesus’s tomb was empty and the gospel, the good news of God’s love for us and offer of forgiveness is real. Don’t be intimidated by those who say there is no God. “The fool has said in his heart there is no God.” (Psalm 53:1)
