Read Psalm 67 (ESV)
To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.
A Psalm. A Song.
1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us, Selah
2 that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations.
3 Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you judge the peoples with equity
and guide the nations upon earth. Selah
5 Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
6 The earth has yielded its increase;
God, our God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him!

(To the tune of Edelweiss)[ from The Sound of Music ]
May our God, Mighty God
Bless and keep us forever.
Make His face shine on us
Brighten and make us to worship.
Let the peoples praise You O God
Let them praise You forever
May our God, Mighty God
Give great joy to the nations.Filled with grace, filled with joy
May we shout your praises
Bless us that we may bless
Telling the peoples Your greatness
May our God, Mighty God
Bless and keep us forever.
Make His face shine on us
Let all the earth adore Him.Copyright: Marty Schoenleber
Don’t know if anyone will ever sing it beside me, but it was fun to try to bring the the Psalm into a contemporary form. I love music but have no ability to compose. Nevertheless, borrowing a singable tune seemed like a good compromise. Let all the earth bow and adore Him.
