“Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification [holiness] without which no one will see the Lord.”
(Hebrews 12:14, NASV)
The word ‘pursue’ implies a purposeful effort, a diligence that persists in a certain direction. In this case two things are to be the focus of our pursuing energies:
- peace with all men
- and holiness.
I wonder how our churches would change if just those two pursuits were diligently, persistently, and with purposeful effort engaged with a new passion?
