Weekend Musings
“Every choice away from the will of God is a choice to diminish our joy in God. Any diminution of God’s law or application of of God’s word in our situation is always–no matter how reasonable it appears, no matter how pleasurable the immediate gratification, or how stress-reducing (for the moment), a movement away from holiness–is a robbery we commit against ourselves both of grace for the moment and glories in that future moment when we see Him face to face. The choice for holiness is always a glory for God, but it is also a choice for our greater joy now and forever.”
From one of six messages I preached this weekend at a retreat
