Muslim Outreach in Dearborn, MI

Wednesday is for Prayer

Short Term Missions Trip

Yesterday, I drove over to Dearborn, MI to join up with a group of men and women from South Carolina, Ontario Canada, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi,  and include a grandfather with two of his grand-daughters, to do Muslim outreach for the week. Prayer walking, literature distribution, conversational evangelism, personal prayer with people in the neighborhood. arts and crafts for kids all play a part.

Today we spent most of our time in a Yemeni neighborhood. It was a delight to walk the neighborhoods and to pray for the people, especially because I got to join up with my brother Karl who had invited me to tag along with members from his church on the adventure. I’m tired and tomorrow will come quickly and be filled with a lot more walking, talking, praying and interacting. So …

Please pray for the following:

  1. Pray for Habib, a young man still in college, who generously gave us cold water to drink and who we got to both talk to and pray with. Pray that Almighty God opens his heart to Jesus.
  2. Pray for the hundreds of children we saw: that they would grow up to know who Jesus really is.
  3. For an elderly man and his nephew who told us they would read the literature we gave them.
  4. For another man, the first we met, who allowed us to pray for him and his family. Pray that he and many others would seek the one who is the “way, the truth, and the life”
  5. Praise God for giving us this opportunity to sow seed for the kingdom.
