Pastor is not feeling well. Just got a call from his wife that he has strep-throat.

I’ll be filling in for him tomorrow, teaching Greek and Sunday preaching the message at First Baptist Church in Bolingbrook, IL.

So here are a few prayer requests:

1. That the message on Sunday would be a timely respite from our current book, Ecclesiastes.
2. That my preparation, short as it will be, would be adequate for the task.
3. That hearts would be hungry to learn and eager to apply the word of God.
4. That the Greek class would go well and that I wouldn’t keep the students too long.
5. That Brandon, the pastor of First Baptist, would get over his sickness quickly. Also, would you pray that Brandon would be accepted into the Ph.D. program at Wheaton.
6. That Christ would be exalted and the gospel would be clear.
