Friday is for Heart Songs
The following comes from the archives of my old blog, July 15, 2009. It was part of the confirmation of God’s call to move toward the planting of a new church in Mundelein/Vernon Hills with a third target being the campus of Trinity International University. It is good to go back and read the records of what God has done. Memory is a powerful tool in the hand of the living God.
Just had four hour conversation
Just had a four our conversation with four students from Trinity University that are here for the summer working grounds, painting and other jobs. Wow. What an eye opener and what a joy. They were fresh and spiritually interested. They gave me great insight to the campus atmosphere, offered numerous ideas for how to make a difference on campus.
It was thrilling to see how easily they talked to me and how easily I related with them. It just was another confirmation of the need for the new church plant in Mundelein and the opportunity to make a big difference on this campus. Three of them are interested in the church plant! A very encouraging evening. Even if the National League lost the all star game again.
